  • Accompagnement : Plusieurs pianistes accompagnateurs sont prévus, sans frais supplémentaires pour les candidats. Chaque candidat peut se faire accompagner par son propre pianiste (à ses frais). La demi-finale et la finale seront précédées d’un temps de répétition avec les pianistes. Les éliminatoires seront précédés d’une rencontre avec les pianistes où seront évoqués les tempo, les traditions et coupures… Les candidats ne seront pas obligatoirement accompagnés par le même pianiste lors des différentes épreuves pour des raisons pratiques d’organisation.
  • Concours en trois étapes : Le concours se déroule en trois phases : éliminatoires, demi- finale publique et finale publique.
  • Règles à respecter :
    • Les airs ne seront pas transposés et seront chantés dans la langue originale de la création de l’ouvrage.
    • Le candidat doit fournir au pianiste une partition de l’air chanté dans une version piano/chant lisible, préparée, en bon état.
    • Les œuvres sont chantées de mémoire.
    • Les candidats sont jugés sur leurs qualités vocales et musicales.
    • Les délibérations du jury se dérouleront à huis clos et seront sans appel.
    • Pour les éliminatoires et pour la demi- finale, une tenue correcte est demandée.
    • Pour la finale, une tenue de gala est exigée.

 

• Accompaniment : Several accompanying pianists will be available without extra charge for the candidates. Candidates who prefer to be accompanied by their own pianist may do so but at their own expense.   The semi-final and final will be preceded by a rehearsal with the pianists.   The eliminating auditions will be preceded by a meeting with the accompanying pianists during which such things as tempo, traditions and cuts can be evoked.

 

• Competition in three stages : There are three stages to the competition :  eliminating auditions, public Semi-final and public final.

 

• Rules to be observed :

–  The arias must not be transposed and are to be sung in the language of the creation of the work.
–  The candidate must provide the accompanying pianist with a partition of the aria sung in a version prepared for piano and voice that is readable and in good condition.
–  The works are to be sung from memory.
–  Candidates will be judged on both their vocal and musical qualities
–  The deliberations of the jury will take place behind closed doors without right of appeal.
–  For the playoffs and for the semi-final, a correct dress is required
–  For the final a gala outfit is
